FACEBOOK PRESENTED THE FIRST AUTONOMOUS SHORE OF VIRTUAL REALITY

59 (1)

Head of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg introduced the autonomous helmet of the virtual reality of Oculus Go.
Goggles will work without connecting to a smartphone or computer. The helmet will be available for sale in 2018 at a price of $ 199.

According to Zuckerberg, Oculus Go will become “the most affordable VR-headset.” The device is equipped with new generation of lenses, which help to get rid of the so-called screen door effect – an effect in which the eye distinguishes the space between pixels. Expansion of the liquid crystal display will be 2560X1440 pixels. In addition, the device has an audio system built-in.

Together with the virtual reality helmet, Facebook introduced the prototype of Oculus controllers, called Santa Cruz. Like the new helmet, the device works autonomously and does not require the placement of special sensors in the room.
