Famous Chinese internet giant Alibaba introduced a robot, which is designed to work in hotels.

The robot moves on wheels and is based on artificial intelligence. The service will work according to the following scheme: guests of the hotel will be able to make some order with the “smart” columns of Tmall Genie located in the rooms. Upon receipt of the order, the robot with an aluminum case and a height of about one meter will take the necessary product (from the employee of the hotel service or from a special distribution system) and will deliver it.

Special sensors are installed in the robot, which will help it not to crash into the wall and generally to navigate the terrain. The maximum speed of a robot is one meter per second. The robot will also project on the floor in front of it pointers with the help of special lasers: pointers will tell people to which side the device moves.
