ZOOM PLANS TO INTRODUCE NEW CALL ENCRYPTION

Zoom service has announced its intention to introduce reliable encryption technology for customers with a paid account.

Zoom announced plans late last week to increase the security of video calls. However, the innovations will be intended only for certain categories of clients, in particular, for paid accounts, educational institutions, as well as political dissidents.

During the pandemic, Zoom became hugely popular around the world. On average, about 300 million video conferencing connections are registered per day within the service. However, in April, the company got into a scandal – YouTube and Vimeo got thousands of videos from working conferences held with Zoom. Also in public were classes in schools and even private conversations of users.
