USING SMARTPHONES ON THE ROADS – IT’S THE MOST DANGEREOUS
When traveling on the road, it is more dangerous for pedestrians to use a mobile phone than to listen music or talk to phone.
Canadian scientists analyzed 14 pedestrian crash studies. Scientists have found that using a phone is more likely to cause an accident than talking on the phone or listening music.
Pedestrians who looked at the phone on the road forgot the traffic rules, including looking left and right before moving. In addition, the researchers found no significant effect of listening music on pedestrian safety. And talking on the phone increases the time it takes to safely cross the road.
