The state-owned enterprise Ukrposhta will have the opportunity to install POS-terminals at its branches for payment by payment cards.

The postal operator received accreditation from the international payment system Mastercard. Currently, the process of obtaining the UkrPost status of the acquirer and a license from the National Bank for the conduct of transactions with cards is under way.

According to representatives of the postal operator, Ukrposhta will announce a tender for the purchase of 5 thousand POS-terminals within a few days.

The own network of terminals for Ukrposhta is more economically viable than the installation in the branches of the terminals of partner banks, for which such services would have to pay a commission.
