TUNISIA’S QUARANTINE MODE CONTROLS BY ROBOTS
The Tunisian Interior Ministry has released quarantined police robots on the deserted streets.
Four-wheeled P-Guards interrogate street-going citizens. 13 mph automatic patrols are remotely controlled via Wi-Fi or 4G. The robots are equipped with cameras, thermal imagers, loudspeakers and alarm systems.
The robot approaches the person and demands to show on the camera the documents, which are immediately checked in the police database. The patrol also asks the citizen about the reasons that made him leave the house.
Tunisian authorities have allowed citizens to go outside only if necessary, for example, to buy food.
