The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the conditions for implementation of the fourth generation communication system (4G), including the requirements for the operation of operators, the conditions for conducting tenders for the sale of licenses and the cost of licenses.

According to Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groisman, the decision was reviewed by the Innovation Council under the Cabinet of Ministers and was considered by the profile committee, which came to the conclusion that proposals for the sale of licenses 4G “meet the requirements of transparency”. Now the State Committee of Communications is instructed to prepare a tender for the sale of licenses.

It is expected that the initial cost of licenses for 4G will be 6.3 billion UAH: 2.3 billion UAH for the band 2600 MHz and 4 billion 1800 MHz.

Groisman also instructed the head of the State Committee to check the quality of 3G mobile operators of different operators.
