STUDENT CREATED EDIBLE PACKAGING FOR NOODLES

London student Holly Ground has created an edible package for instant noodles that turns into a sauce on contact with water.

 

The main ingredients of environmentally friendly packaging – starch, glycerin, and water. The package dissolves a minute after contact with boiling water. It is seasoned with spices, so at this point, it turns into a sauce for noodles. According to the designer, you can add different spices to the package to taste.

 

“The product can be cooked and eaten in less than 10 minutes, and the packaging will decompose in 80 years,” says Holly about her motivation. The girl hopes that her invention will help limit the use of plastic because the packaging is suitable for other products.
