SOCIAL DISTANCE. TINDER HAS A LONG-WAITED FUNCTION

The dating app Tinder has introduced a new important feature – video calls Face to Face.

It has already been tested in 13 countries, including the United States (some states), as well as Australia, Brazil and France. The functionality is not available to everyone, but only to selected users from these countries. This way, the developers hope to see how technically well video calls work.

In Tinder’s Face to Face, both users must agree to the call. The parties must agree to the rules before making a call. They include the absence of a naked body or sexual content, as well as mentions of hate speech, violence or illegal acts.

After the video call is completed, each person is asked to answer whether they want to repeat the call, and given the opportunity to report if the other person has done something wrong. The developers say they do not intend to record calls. Therefore, if someone complains, they will have to take their word for it.
