Researchers at the Scottish University of St. Andrews have created a revolutionary technology that allows the computer to recognize objects and materials from which they are made. This development has been realized in a special device called RadarCat.

The technology has many potential applications, for example, helping the blind people. With this development blinds can  between two completely identical bottles to choose one that contains the necessary liquid: water, milk or juice.

The technology is able to machine learning, so the system will eventually have more specific items, colors, materials and more.

Note that the radar sensor, which is used by researchers was originally created by Google employees as part of Project Soli for fixing micromotions fingers.
