Scientists discovered a new type of antibiotics with help of artificial intelligence.

The neural network has analyzed more than 100 million chemical compounds in several days. Scientists wanted to find compounds that have the most antibacterial qualities that can kill E. coli. After analyzing the chemical compounds, the scientists selected about 100 possible antibiotics for testing.

A recently discovered compound can kill 35 potentially deadly bacteria. A research fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology said it was the first time the neural network had discovered a new antibiotic.
