SCIENTISTS FOUND THE LARGEST BLACK HOLE IN 1000 LIGHT YEARS FROM EARTH
Astronomers from the European Southern Observatory have discovered the nearest black hole 1,000 light-years from Earth.
A black hole was found in the HR 6819 system. Scientists observed two stars in the system when they discovered another object. Yes, one star revolves around an object that scientists do not see every 40 days, and the other is at a great distance from this inner pair.
The third object in this system was a black hole. Its mass is four times the mass of the Sun, and the black hole itself is the closest to the Earth. According to scientists, another feature of this hole is that it is really black. All known black holes have a satellite star that feeds them with gas. But this does not happen in HR 6819, so the black hole loses gas and becomes darker.
