SAFILO GLASSES CAN READ BRAIN IMPULSES

Safilo Chief Executive Officer Luisa Delgado in New York City Friday, Dec. 16, 2016.

The company Safilo Group, which specializes in building frames for famous brands such as Hugo Boss, Dior and Fendi, decided to try itself in a new segment – the area of “smart” glasses. Italian manufacturer plans to introduce a series of glasses that can be connected to the network in January. Unlike most known project in this industry – Google Glass, Safilo will not be equipped with a display and camera.

Smart device initially will have very modest functional set. Glasses can perceive brain impulses then pass this information to the application on the mobile device. The idea is to allow people to monitor their moods and know when to relax and meditate.

The main argument in favor Salifo is the fact that they are designed for everyday use and are not allocated futuristic design or attached modules. The device will be on sale in the US next summer.
