86

In 2017, the part of smartphones with operating system Android reached 85%, and the part of iOS devices has fallen to 15%.

Analysts have published a new report on the state of the smartphone market for the first quarter of 2017. By the end of the reporting period, the iPhone’s part was 14.7% down from 18.2% in the fourth quarter of last year. Three months earlier there was a sharp surge in shipped retail devices on the iOS network – the reason for this was the release of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Obviously, something similar will be observed this year.

The part of smartphones under the control of Windows Phone in the first quarter of the year was 0.1%. The decline was observed over the past 12 months – in the first three months of 2016, the Windows Phone index was 0.8%, which can not be called even at any significant.

Count “other” has collected 0.1% of mobile platforms. It’s not surprising here, since other operating systems are almost completely extinct.

If we consider placing in the market from the point of view of brands, then in the first place holds Samsung with a share of 23.3%, followed by Apple (14.7%). In the third place, with the result of 10%, Huawei, followed by OPPO (7.5%) and Vivo (5.5%).

The average price of a smartphone in the reporting period was $ 220. According to analysts, in 2021 this figure will drop to $ 198.
