NEW ZEALAND ALLOWED TO PAY PAYMENT IN CRYPT CURRENCY
New Zealand authorities have allowed companies to pay employees in cryptocurrency.
This resolution will take effect next month. It is noted that according to a New Zealand tax authority’s decree, cryptocurrency wages are allowed to be paid from September 1, provided payments are made in the form of regular fixed amounts.
The digital currency selected must be tied to at least one currency that acts as a legal tender. In addition, the cryptocurrency must be convertible.
According to experts, such step is quite risky, since price fluctuations can be too large and fast.
