HBO Max streaming service is in talks with screenwriters of the Friends series and lead actors to shoot a new special episode.

The talks include screenwriters David Crane and Martha Kaufman, all six lead actors – Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer, as well as the creators of NBC comedy Warner Bros. TV. This year, Friends celebrated 25 years since the first episode aired.

The streaming service HBO Max is owned by WarnerMedia. It is scheduled to launch in 2020. HBO Max is assumed to have the exclusive rights to broadcast Friends.
