MILLIONS OF COMPUTERS IN THE WORLD STILL WORK ON WINDOWS XP
Microsoft released Windows XP in 2001.
NetMarketShare analysts have found that millions of computers around the world still run this outdated operating system.
According to last month, 1.26% of all laptops and desktops worldwide run on Windows XP. This is higher than for younger Windows 8 (0.57%), ChromeOS (0.42%) and Windows Vista (0.12%)
Windows XP was discontinued in April 2014. That is, Microsoft does not provide security updates for this operating system.
