Microsoft at the Microsoft Inspire conference revealed a hologram-translator designed for the added-value glasses of HoloLens 2.

Earlier, Microsoft has already demonstrated progress in creating holographic images, but the moment from language to speech was introduced to the public for the first time, it is implemented on the basis of the virtual reality of HoloLens.

In a new demonstration, the company complemented the hologram translation. Digital hologram of the demonstration participant – the head of the Azure cloud platform – Julia White read out the Japanese version of the speech.

For this purpose, researchers used text-to-speech technologies that allow the recorded text to be translated by voice, even in a different language.
