MICROSOFT DECIDES TO CLOSE ITS STREAMING SERVICE

Microsoft closes the Mixer service on July 22 and plans to transfer existing partners to Facebook Gaming.

Microsoft failed to develop Mixer to the extent necessary to compete with Twitch, YouTube and even Facebook Gaming, which was the reason for this decision.

“I think Mixer will really benefit from the wide audience that Facebook has, thanks to its ability to easily connect with gamers through the social platform Facebook,” said Microsoft Games CEO Phil Spencer.

From July 22, all Mixer sites and applications will automatically redirect users to Facebook Gaming. Mixer partners will receive the status of partners of the new platform, and streamers will receive the right to participate in the Facebook Level Up program.
