MAKE ON YOUTUBE WILL BE HARDER
YouTube Video Services has tightened the rules for bloggers who participate in the YouTube Partner Program monetization program.
By January 16, 2018, bloggers wishing to advertise had to collect 10,000 views. Now, YouTube partners must have at least 1000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of views per year.
New rules have already started for users who want to become part of the YouTube Partner Program. For existing partners the program terms will come into force on February 20, 2018.
The company recognized that they introduced new rules against the background of the events of 2017, which “touched the community and advertising partners” of the company.
On November 24, Mars, Adidas HP and other large companies declined to advertise on YouTube due to a scandal with inappropriate video comments for children. On January 11, 2018, YouTube’s blogger Logan Paul appeared in the center of the scandal through a video entitled “We Found a Dead Body in the Japanese Suicide Forest”.
