The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine fined the Kyivstar cellular operator for 21.3 million UAH.

On December 12, 2017, the Committee passed a decision in the case against the respondent PJSC “Kyivstar” about unfair competition in the form of dissemination of deceptive information on the terms of charging (violation of Article 15-1 of the Law “On Protection against Unfair Competition”) “, – said Yuri Terentyev.

It is noted that in his communication on the terms of charging, the operator used three types of statements, in two of which stated that the tariff is “per second”. In fact, this statement is false, because the cost of a full minute of conversation was written off in the first second of the conversation.

For the stated violation, Kyivstar has imposed a fine of UAH 21,307,597.
