INSTAGRAM REMOVED ITS LITE VERSION
The Instagram Lite app, which was a lightweight version of Instagram, has been removed from the Google Play directory.
The size of Instagram Lite was only 573 KB. The application was released in 2018. It was intended for developing regions, users of weak smartphones, and non-permanent or weak Internet connection.
The application was first launched in Mexico, then it became available in Kenya, Peru, and the Philippines. In Instagram Lite, you could not upload videos and communicate in private messages – just view photos and stories.
According to Facebook, they will soon release an improved alternative to Instagram Lite. The new version of the application will be available to more users, including residents of India, Brazil, and Indonesia. So far, Instagram Lite users have been offered to download the full version or use the service through a browser.
