The WhatsApp Messenger stops working on outdated electronic devices.
Starting from December 31, 2019, the owners of smartphones and other electronic devices working on the basis of Windows Phone of any version will no longer be able to use this service. Beginning February 1, 2020, owners of phones based on iOS 7 and Android 2.3.7, as well as any older platforms, will not be able to use this software.
Their APIs will turn off, causing the messenger to stop connecting to the servers, which means it will not be possible to use it. For the owners of smartphones operating on the basis of outdated OS, Facebook employees are advised to pre-care about buying a new mobile device, otherwise there won’t be the ability to use WhatsApp.
This has been done so that developers can concentrate all the forces on more modern platforms, while refusing to do so from those that have not been relevant for a long time.
