State forestry companies have started selling Christmas trees, however, not all trees that can be bought on the market are legal.
The legality of the Christmas tree can be checked by using the mobile application. The application Yalinka.info, developed by the State Forestry Innovation and Analytical Center, will help to find out the species of tree, its breed, diameter, length and, most importantly, whether it was lawfully cut down.
To verify the validity of the Christmas tree, you must enter an individual number from the tag or label attached to the Christmas tree in the mobile application. The barcode of each tree is entered in a single electronic logging system, if the information on this number is missing – this indicates the illegal origin of the tree.
