HOW DO USERS OF NETWORKS CHOOSE TO WATER PLANT?
American programmer Tyler Wood has not been bothered about watering his home plant for three years – the Internet is doing all the work.
More than 11,000 Reddit users choose, water a plant, or not. Voted “for” – the watering system is turned on, voted “against” – there will be no water. And the plant continues to live. The idea came to Wood in 2016: they chatted with their colleagues to remind each other of watering plants.
“The plant is the only organism I could trust to the internet in terms of moral and ethical standards,” Wood said. So the Takecareofmyplant project appeared (“Take care of my plant”). For the experiment’s transparency, Wood organized a round-the-clock video broadcast so that users can look at the plant.
