Browsers became quite demanding on computers’ RAM and use it in big volumes.

Google announced about a decrease of its Chrome browser’s appetite when user visits “heavy” sites with JavaScript. After an update, Chrome will get new improvements to increase performance of interacting with JavaScript that will considerably decrease memory consumption.

According to Google, on websites like Reddit or YouTube they managed to get twice as little memory consumption, comparing to Chromer v. 53. Only users that signed up for testing of new browser features will get a chance to use an advanced Chrome version first.

Developers state that first of all users who used to have lots of tabs open and owner of slow computers will notice a difference.
