FORD WORKERS STARTED TOTEST EXOSKELETON
The first prototype of the exoskeleton from the Ekso Bionics has already arrived at the factories of the Ford car company. Engadget reports that their development was carried out in conjunction with pipeline workers who helped to improve the design, identifying weaknesses and helping to improve the final prototype version.
EksoVest exo-skeletons are made for the money of Ford, which expects to widely apply them in production in the future, protecting employees from excessive overloads. EksoVest will help people lift the weight without heavy loads and damage to health.
Even if you regularly lift and carry a small load or tightly twist the nuts, these loads will ultimately affect the performance of people and can cause chronic diseases of the hands or spine. EksoVest helps to avoid negative consequences, helps to increase the quality of work and improve the wellbeing of employees. It can easily lift a load weighing up to six kilograms.
The exoskeleton is designed for working height up to 192 centimeters and is suitable for any production, in which something needs to be worn constantly in hands, so it can be used not only in car factories, but also in construction or, for example, warehouse.
The pilot testing program will eventually extend to all Ford companies in the US, Europe and South America.
