The drone has not landed yet, but has already set a record of the duration of the flight. Zephyr S began its flight on July 11 this year.

Dron was launched from a training ground in Arizona and is still in the air. Experts say that officially the record will be set and recorded when the drones make landings. But, when this happens is unknown. Theoretically, Zephyr S can be in the air for up to three months.

The previous record of flight duration was established by the prototype of this drone. It was equipped with a pair of electric motors powered by solar panels. This drone spent two weeks in the air.

Zephyr S has a wingspan of 28 meters! Its entire surface is covered with solar panels. The device can climb to a height of up to 21.3 kilometers.
