Scientists from Australian universities have recorded the highest data rate on the Internet – 44.2 terabits per second.

At this speed, users can download thousands of high-quality movies less than a second. The scientists said they had reached record speeds with a device that replaced about 80 lasers in telecommunications equipment. This device is called a “micro-combo”.

It was tested outside the laboratory using the conventional infrastructure. Yes, scientists have managed to obtain the largest amount of data that could transmit a single optical chip.
