ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE HELP TO FIND ALKATRAS FUGITIVES
The artificial intelligence from Irish company Identv and Rothco can find out whether the prisoners survived, who made the most famous and probably the only successful escape from prison in Alcatraz Island in the US.
In 1962, brothers John and Clarence Englini and their friend Frank Morris disappeared from a prison on Alcatraz Island, located in San Francisco Bay. Usually prisoners who tried to escape and swim across the bay were killed by a strong cource, and their bodies were ashore.
In 2015, a friend of the Englin family posted a photo taken in Brazil 13 years after the escape, which allegedly depicted the brothers. Then it was impossible to check. Now face recognition specialists have shown the photo to artificial intelligence, and it is likely in 99.7% that the photo from Brazil shows the brothers who escaped from Alcatraz in 1962.
The case of their escape is still pending. Now men should be just over 80 years old.
