The US Patent Office has issued a new Apple document which confirms implementation technology of virtual reality headset that uses mobile devices as a display.
VR-helmet Apple will consist of a pair of lenses, trackpad, proximity sensor, several physical control buttons and wheel, which is responsible for the change in focus. Engineers also proposed to use the compact remote for management of  device. Data transfer will be wireless.

Interestingly, the patent application was filed by the company in September 2008 value long before the appearance of similar solutions from competitors. However, Apple’s plans on a commercial project are not known.
