As we know from leaks and rumors, Apple will get rid of the Home button with fingerprint scanner on the iPhone 8.

There were a few thoughts about the location of fingerprint scanners for future innovations. Most likely it was carrying Touch ID on the outer panel or display integration.

Judging by the new patent, fingerprint reader can be integrated into the power button device. It is possible that it will be moved to the side edges of the smartphone.
In addition, it is likely that the Power button with integrated sensor in its Touch ID, will still be located on the top iPhone 8. It probably will get a lot thinner and elongated shape.
