Apple is testing new technology to unlock iPhone

The built-in 3D scanner will recognize the face of the owner of the iPhone for several hundredths of a second. In this case, the user will not need to lift the smartphone to the eyes. The technology will work even if the device is lying on the table.

Individuals using 3D scanners will also be able to confirm payments, log in and run applications.

It is assumed that the function will replace the Touch ID fingerprint sensor. The new technology uses more measuring points and is safer than the current system identifier for the device owner.

According to Bloomberg, Apple also tests the eye retina scanner, which will become part of the new feature.

The press service of the company refused to comment.
