“STORIES” WILL ALSO APPEAR IN THE BROWSER VERSION OF FACEBOOK
Facebook has begun testing the Story function for browser.
In March of this year, Facebook followed a popular trend, and after Instagram and Snapchat launched the History feature in the mobile app and in Messenger. On this, the developers decided not to stop, and now they are testing a similar opportunity for the desktop version of Facebook.
The feature allows you to upload photos and videos in Facebook that disappear after 24 hours. At the same time you can add a picture or text to the image using graphic filters.
In the mobile Facebook client “Stories”, similar to Instagram and Snapchat, are placed over the news feed. However, the function was not as popular as on other resources, and instead of friends’ stories, most users are constantly hovering empty icons. To solve the problem somehow, Facebook has started to put blurry photos of friends with whom the user communicates more often.
In the web version of the Facebook client, “Stories” will be placed to the right of the news feed, which will make them less noticeable and obscene.
