WORKSHOP MARKET EXPANSES SPEED GROWTH
International Data Corporation (IDC) has released a forecast for the global market for robotics for the next few years.
Published data from IDC includes deliveries of actual robots and unmanned aerial vehicles. In addition, they took into account the costs of related software and services.
Consequently, it is reported that this year the market volume will reach $ 97.2 billion in monetary terms. This will correspond to an increase of 17.9% over last year.
In the coming years, the industry will show a fairly high growth rate. In particular, it is said that the CAGR (annual growth rate, taking into account difficult interest rates) by 2021 will amount to 22.8%. As a result, at the beginning of the next decade, the global market will reach about $ 230 billion.
If we consider the geography of supplies, then this year more than half of all costs on the robotics market will have to be in the Asia-Pacific region. In addition, high demand for robotics systems in the United States and in Western Europe is expected.
