The Uber application has the ability to order a car for someone from the contact list. Previously, you could tell driver that he should pick an other person elsewhere, but the innovation automates the process.

Using the function is very simple. When you choose a point that does not fit your location, the application asks for who the trip is for – or for someone else. If you select the second option, the address book will open, and you can select a contact will open.

After that, you just have to select a destination and send a request.
The passenger will receive a text message with the driver’s name and phone number, as well as a link to track his movement.
Product Manager Uber Kyle Miller believes that the feature will be especially useful when calling the car for the elderly relatives and in general for anyone who does not have a Uber account or a smartphone.
Innovation has become available in 30 countries around the world, including the US, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia and the Philippines. In other countries, the function will appear a little later.
