CONCEPT OF MODULAR FLYING ELECTRIC CAR WAS PRESENTED AT THE GENEVA INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW
French Airbus Aircraft company in cooperation with Italian designers from ItalDesign has developed a concept of the vehicle called the future Pop.Up, that showed at the Geneva International Auto Show.
Pop.Up idea consists in the fact the ability to move passengers not only on land but also in the air.
It is based – a carbon fiber capsule in which two people can be. Dimensions body is 2.6 meters long, 1.4 meters in height, width – 1.5 meters.
The capsule can be mounted on the wheel base or secured in a special flying platform. So, Pop.Up can be transformed from a small car to the aircraft and vice versa.
The concept involves the use of self-government. In the mode car uses two electric motors with a total capacity of 80 horsepower. Cruising on a single charge battery pack reaches 130 km and top speed – 100 km / h.
The air speed is also 100 km / h and a maximum flight range smaller – up to 100 km. To recharge the battery, in both cases you need only 15 minutes.
