The new project will be called Japanese ABCI – in abbreviated form from AI Bridging Cloud Infrastructure. It will be used in research aimed at the development of artificial intelligence systems and autopilot of cars and robots. In addition, the complex may find its usage in medicine.

To create a supercomputer regulator will allocate more than $ 170 million. At the time of commissioning of the system performance will constitute 130 petaflops, that will exceed the current leader. Completion of the complex is planned for next year.
