The company Mercedes-Benz has demonstrated an electric truck Urban eTruck, that can pass 200 kilometers without recharging . Its maximum permissible weight is 26 tonnes. Tractor  was presented in Stuttgart by manufacturer.  Urban eTruck is equipped with two electric motors, which are located on the rear axle. The total engine power is 340 horsepower and maximum torque – 11,000 Nm. Electricity is stored in three sets Li-ion battery capacity of 212 kilowatt-hours. When using a fast charging stations, with a capacity of 100 kilowatts, the battery can be fully charged in two to three hours. According to the Mercedes, cruising range of the tractor can be compared with diesel counterparts.
Mass production Urban eTruck will begin after  2020
