GOOGLE CHROME HAS THE LARGEST HACKER ATTACK
Google has reported the discovery of 70 malicious extensions for its proprietary Chrome browser.
So far, all of them have been removed, but the victims of this malware could be 32 million users. Experts say this is the largest hacking attack on Chrome in the history of the browser.
Most of these dangerous extensions downloaded user browsing history as well as credentials for various accounts. Awake Security co-founder Gary Golomb said the attackers could access emails, payment tools, and other important information through a browser.
It is still unknown who was behind the creation and distribution of dangerous extensions.
