Google has introduced the I / O braid, which allows you to control gadgets by touch.

So far, this is only a prototype, but it has already been taught to play music and change its volume. “I / O braid” is a spiral sensor matrix that can read touches and their force, converting them into electrical impulses. To do this, they used artificial intelligence technology, which was “taught” with the help of volunteers.

Google says that the touch reading accuracy for “I / O braid” reaches 94%. The company has already come up with several ways to develop the technology: in particular, the cord can be sewn into clothing and turned into a headset to adjust the volume of music playing on the smartphone.
