Telegram founder Pavel Durov has announced the suspension of the development of the TON blockchain platform due to a protracted conflict with the US authorities.

“Imagine that a few people have invested in gold mining and then share the gold they have mined. And then the judge comes and says: “These people invested in gold mining because they were looking for a profit. And they were looking for this gold, not for themselves, but to sell to other people. Therefore, they can not extract gold,” – said Durov.

He noted that a US court has banned the use of the cryptocurrency Gram not only in the United States. The businessman added that now the Telegram team “leaves this task to other generations of entrepreneurs and programmers.” The technology developed by them will be publicly available.
