In the United States, the hotel manager ordered himself a meal and was surprised to see who had brought him the order.

It was not a doorman, but a robot. The man stopped at the Westin Buffalo Hotel in Buffalo, New York, and after checking in with a menu and a voice assistant, Alexa ordered a meal and waited. His name is Welbot, and he started working at the hotel back in 2017.

The machine delivers people drinks and dishes from the cafe on the ground floor of the hotel. According to West Long Buffalo general manager Tom Long, customers are delighted with this innovation.

“Our guests are pleased with this robot. They like that he rides the elevator himself. We integrate robotics into our service so that our guests can have a unique experience,” Long said.
