GOOGLE DIGITS OVER 100 THOUSAND OLD BOOKS
Google, with the support of the Belgian city of Antwerp, digitizes over 100,000 books published in the 16th-19th centuries.
The Planen-Moretus Museum will provide more than 32,000 books for digitization and the Hendrick Library for more than 60,000 books. All digitized books will be freely available on Google Books and on museum and library sites.
Books will begin digitizing in early 2021. Google expects the whole process to take three years. However, the scanned books will gradually become available.
