GOOGLE CREATED DODLES WITH “FATHER HYGIENE HAND”
Google’s search engine has dedicated its next doodle to a prominent physician, Ignatius Zemmelweiss.
Ignatius Zemmelweis is a Hungarian obstetrician-gynecologist who is considered the founder of asepsis and the father of hand hygiene. Zemmelweiss was born on July 1, 1818 and died in a psychiatric hospital on August 13, 1865. The doctor is known for introducing standards of hand disinfection during obstetric care.
According to the World Health Organization, careful hand washing is a key way to prevent the spread of coronavirus. WHO recommends frequent washing of hands with soap and water or the use of alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
