ALARM BUTTON WILL APPEAR IN TINDER

The dating app Tinder has introduced a new security feature – an alarm button.

The user can click it if something goes wrong during the date. This message will be sent to the dispatcher. If the client cannot answer, the dispatcher will call emergency services, including the police. According to the developers, this will allow the user to ask for help without raising suspicion.

In addition, in the app will be able to check-in for letting friends know where the date is. The tools will run on Noonlight, a geolocation tracking platform.

In the US, features will become available next Tuesday. They will appear in the new section of the Security Center and will be free of charge. Exactly when they become available in other countries is unknown.
