British luxury carmaker Rolls-Royce has introduced a zero-emission aircraft.

The company aims to make this aircraft the fastest vehicle of its kind in the world. Work has already begun on integrating the electric propulsion system so that the zero-emission aircraft can reach the target speed of 480 km / h. The company plans to set a world record in late spring in 2020.

This project is part of the Rolls-Royce initiative called Accel and is a key part of the company’s effort to develop zero-emission flights. Partners are involved in the project, such as the manufacturer of electric motors and controllers Yasa, as well as aviation startup Electroflight.
