Apple has presented its own Apple Music Awards.

The award will be presented to the best and bravest musicians who have had the greatest impact on global culture. Winners of the Artist of the Year, Artist of the Year and Breakthrough nominations are selected by Apple’s worldwide editorial team of experts. In the Album of the Year and Song of the Year nominations, the decisive factor is that Apple Music users listened most to during the year.

This year’s winner was performer Billy Elish. She won Best Artist of the Year nominations, and her debut album WHEN WE FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? received the Album of the Year award. The song of the year was Old Town Road by rapper Lil Nas X, and singer Lizzo received the Breakthrough of the Year award.
