ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE PARTICIPATED IN DEBATES ABOUT ARTIFICIAL INTELLECTUAL
The ICM Project Debater program, created on the basis of artificial intelligence, participated in the debate on the benefits and harms of artificial intelligence.
Project Debater took turns using two debater teams to discuss what more artificial intelligence brings – benefits or harms. In order to formulate arguments, the ICM program used the technology of “crowd speech”, which groups and generalizes large arrays of disparate abstracts that are spoken by individuals.
During the Cambridge debate, the program issued commands to the teams with introductory statements with the main points to support their position. In the end, by a vote of 300 people, a majority of 52.1% favored a team that argued that artificial intelligence would do more harm than good.
