Google adapts Chrome and Maps apps for the blind person.

The company has developed a new feature for Chrome that will use machine learning to recognize images and provide textual descriptions of what they show. The option is based on the same technology that allows users to search for images by keyword, and an image description is generated automatically.

This option is only available to users with screen readers. Image descriptions will be read by the program, but will not be displayed visually on the screen.
